Tenex Health TX Technique Surgery | FAQ | Manhattan | New York City | Staten Island

I’ve tried physical therapy and medication for my tendon pain, but I’m afraid to try surgery. Can Tenex Health TX help me?

The goal of Tenex Health TX is to remove the source of pain, just like open surgery, in a minimally invasive manner. Because Tenex Health TX is minimally invasive, it requires only local anesthetic to numb the area. You do not need general anesthesia as you would in traditional open surgery. At the end of the treatment, your doctor will close the tiny incision with a Band-Aid®. Ask your doctor if you are a candidate for Tenex Health TX.

    Does Tenex Health TX hurt?

A local anesthetic will be used to numb the area. You will not feel anything during the treatment except for slight pressure. After Tenex Health TX and during your recovery, you may feel sore in the treated area for a short period of time.

How long does Tenex Health TX take?

Typically, Tenex Health TX takes less than 15 minutes to complete. This includes the time to clean your skin before the treatment to placing a Band-Aid® over the tiny incision upon completion. Talk to your doctor about his or her protocols.

How long does it take to recover?

Unlike traditional open surgeries that may several months, the Tenex Health TX recovery period is expected to be 6 weeks for return to your normal activities. Your doctor will provide complete instructions after the treatment.

Will I have to take medications after receiving Tenex Health TX?

If you feel any discomfort after the treatment you can take an over-the-counter pain medication. After Tenex Health TX you doctor will provide specific instructions based on your condition, work, and lifestyle.
